When Ken Tea arrived in Canada from Cambodia in 1989, he was 21 years old and spoke absolutely no English. Growing up in difficult circumstances taught Ken about the relationship between survival and determination from an early age. Education became important to him. Determined to make the most of this wonderful country, almost immediately, Ken enrolled in English as a Second Language. It wasn’t easy. He struggled to complete his Canadian high school education as an adult, in a totally new language. But Ken’s motto is… “You have to work hard to get the things you want!

On completing high school, he attended the University of Toronto, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He majored in Economics with a minor in French. Determination was a key factor for his success. We might believe that Ken somehow adopted the mindset of famed scientist Albert Einstein, who said: “You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.”

In Toronto, Ken mastered the rules to develop self-discipline as he worked part-time in the automotive industry for Magna International. In 1992, he attended university full-time, then for several years after that, took time to complete his BA part-time at nights while he continued working part-time. His determination caused him to display excellence in all areas, and to become a successful real estate representative, operating in the Toronto area.

His resolve to work hard despite any setbacks is motivating enough for his personal aspirations. But even more important to know, if you’re in the real estate market, is that Ken works harder for you to get what you want. Whether your dream is to buy a first home or you are selling an existing dwelling to move to a bigger house, Ken will help make your transaction easier. You’ll appreciate his honest, considerate nature. Clients willingly place their confidence in Ken and regularly commend his professionalism, patience and understanding in helping them sort through their concerns. As his client, you too will recognize the value of these benefits.

A telephone interview is usually where Ken's real estate relationships start. The interview determines your priorities and, if necessary, mortgage qualification. He asks questions you’d expect:  the number of people in your family, the size of home you are looking for and the ages of your children, if any, to determine school needs.
